In December 2007, I began this blog to chronicle the rest of a journey through The Spiritual Exercises Of St. Ignatius of Loyola that began in September 2007 and ended May 2008. Here, I reflected on the Exercises first and then, after I was done with them, on other devotions with a special emphasis on the works of the saints– from Ignatius to St. John of the Cross and St. Benedict, to name a few– as well as sharing resources for devotions and the Exercises.
I still continue to chronicle my spiritual journey as each Friday I publish a post or posts labeled Flashback Friday with a special emphasis on the Examen, as practiced by St. Ignatius of Loyola, in conjunction with a weekly meme called Sleeping with Bread. I publish that post here.
I also delve into the archive each Friday and share a link from a previous post.
This post is crossposted at my main blog, an unfinished person (in an unfinished universe), whose title is inspired by the quote by the late Dr. George Sheehan,
“Each one of us is an unfinished person in an unfinished universe.”
The primary purpose of that main blog is to serve as a portal into one unfinished person’s life, especially through three elements of not only who he is, but who we all are.
1. Body
2. Mind
3. Soul, which is represented here
That way if you want to follow the complete journey of an unfinished person, you can do so at that main blog.
